Many businesses in 2020 were challenged because of the COVID-19 pandemic. To maintain operations, they were forced to do so in the comfort of their homes, engaging in Zoom meetings and other online productivity options. Some office work, however, couldn’t simply be done online—there’s still no substitute for a face-to-face conference.
This is why meeting space rental has become a hot topic among small to medium enterprises in the previous year (and likely this year too). But finding a good one is no walk in the park because of a lot of factors. In today’s blog, 191 Works describes an easy way to find the best one for you.
- Location. This is probably the most important factor, as the meeting room should be accessible to people who will attend the meeting. A certain distance may be required, but it shouldn’t be an inconvenience that it would take over an hour to get to it. Ideally, it should be in a safe area and easy to look for; look for parking areas and nearby public transport routes. The easier it could be accessed, the better it is.
- Equipment. A good meeting room, or any office space rental when you think about it, should have equipment and facilities that just work. This includes a decent internet connection that can accommodate a teleconference, especially for those who weren’t able to attend or remote members. A meeting room setup may include a mic for the attendees, a projector, and a printer.
- Availability. The meeting room may be the best there is, but if you can’t book it, it will be useless for you. Look for a meeting that you can reserve for at least a week before the meeting. If you need to book a place a month or more in advance, look elsewhere; not all meetings can be planned a month ahead.
- Pricing. Ideally, you shouldn’t really look for the most expensive meeting room, as price doesn’t necessarily equate to quality. Try to find those that tick off the checkboxes above without having to break the bank. To save money and you’re going to meet frequently anyway, try permanently leasing a meeting room instead of having to pay for it every time.
